Essay.
Project. Preschool.

The Final Project is a preschool design based on prisms. It counts with many rooms and spaces for children; such as a principal’s office, a dining hall, kitchen, a central yard and a multiuse area.
The idea came along from a plastic cube design made previously. Basically the concept is based on light filtration on tree cups that sometimes are prism-shaped.
It‘s located in a residential zone of Altamira, Chacao. In this zone there are mostly family houses. The design’s target is principally the children.
It was needed that the project could function without artificial light and ventilation. Its design allows receiving natural light from everyday of the year talking in scholar hour’s terms, where kids can enjoy a good and healthy natural ventilation and illumination.
Structurally, it is supported with beams located in the triangles sides, united between them and walls that help to carry on with the weight. The materials that could probably have been used for this design are steel, (for the beams), concrete and not heating glass.
